I practice Sedona as well as AFL. Are these complementary programmes? Sedona method release emotions and AFL feeling exercises gains power from these emotions. My point is if you release an emotion it is no longer there to gain power from, so should I stick with one or the other?

Sometimes Releasing doesn't quite work so if you've done the Sedona course you know there is a technique where you really try to go into the core of the feeling. It's quite similar to the Feeling Exercise.

When you've released fully you will notice pure energy (remember you can release on the good emotions too). So the Feeling goes right to the sources after releasing. There never is really nothing there as long as you are aware of your physical self in one way or another.

I have been using Sedona Method for some time and just started playing with AFL a few weeks ago.
So the goal of both methods (if I'm hearing you rightly) is to ultimately experience pure bliss as well as live more fully and resourcefully in the present moment?
How should I feel after I perform the Feeling Exercise on a feeling that has come up? Is it some degree of bliss and thankfulness? Release?
Can't I get there thru just using of the Sedona Method way of releasing as well?
Also, Sedona is so much a part of my life that releasing spontaneously is automatic for me by and large- what impact would that have on using Arnold Patent's Feeling Exercise, where you intentionally experience whatever you are feeling before you show appreciation towards that feeling and yourself? What i mean is, very often, the original feeling I focussed in on feeling (shape, color, texture) is no longer there by the time I try do the Feeling Exercise- it seems that I have already spontaneously released it and am experiencing some degree of bliss already in the present! (thru the Sedona Method). I think I have reached a degree of unconscious competence with the use of Sedona Method that allows me to do this. It seems strange, but in order for me to do the Feelings exercise now , I then find myself having to go back to the original feeling which has already been released so that I can now use the Feelings Exercise on it.
Also, in order for me to do the Feeling Exercise, I have learnt to intentionally hold on to the current feeling longer so that I can do steps 2 n 3 of the Feeling Exercise. Seems clunkier than Sedona where before I've gotten to the stage of just spontaneously releasing.
Is this normal development? I would like to hear especially from practioners of Sedona Method AND anyone who is learning to use Sedona alongside the AFL Feelings Exercise. Can I get to the stage of spontaneously releasing and reclaiming power thru the Feelings Exercise, just as I have with the Sedona Method? What do you say?
Would really appreciate any input anyone may have...

How should I feel after I perform the Feeling
quote:
Exercise on a feeling that has come up?

Exactly as you feel is how you should feel. The idea of the course is to remove trances not create trances. To say you should feel this, that or the other is just creating another trance. Keep doing the feeling exercise some people have to do it 30 times a day before they get the a-ha and really grasp the experience of feeling the feeling. To try and tell you what that is is like trying to decribe the exact shade of green my walls have to a blind person. There is nothing with which you can compare it.

Feeling the feeling is actually a part of the Sedona course where Hale asks you to really go into the experience deeper and deeper. I had a lot of trouble doing that until I started doing the Feeling Exercise. The ultimate release or experience of the feeling is like I already said. needs to be experienced it cannot be described. If you find yourself frequently doing the releasing on the same thing then going into the experience and doing the feeling exercise is probably going to be a more powerful experience.

Thinking about a feeling changes it because it has attention like it never had before. Keep noticing what you are feeling. Don't assume it's gone you're still feeling something perhaps a different emotion or sensation in the body. Like Hale says. Release on the positive feeling too.
