How do you define the difference between visualization and focus in the 7 Steps.
And what is the recommendation for doing both in a single 'sitting/'
Thanks.

Focus is the direction your are giving your mind. As in keeping your mind on the intended project not allowing it to wander off while you do your visualisation. Visualisation can quickly become daydreaming without focus.

Visualisation, is the creation of a mental movie similar in texture and feeling as memories. You use your imagination to create a 'future memory" of the goal you have, having manifested. You use all of your internal senses, so you hear, feel, taste , touch and see what you would experience when you have reached your goal.

To successfully create a future memory of your goal you need to maintain your focus on what you are doing during the visualisation. If you lose your focus you can wind up daydreaming about things you don't want to experience and recalling the past experiences that didn't make you happy.

Once you've done your visualisation for the goal it's becomes a mere matter of remembering what you created.

I understand your response but am also a little confused.
The 7 steps has Visualization followed by Acceptance which is the step, I believe, to unearth any beliefs that may interfere with your goal.
Then comes FOCUS. So, according to the 7 steps and to your answer, you visualize with focus, understood. Then the Acceptance speech and then comes Focus again??? Meaning . . . ?
Thanks!

At the acceptance stage we are going to try on the visualisations for size. So yes it cycles until you've got the visualisation that you can accept.

Then whenever you think of your visualisation you'll focus on the one you intend.

I know it's called 7-steps however when you think about it is a part of the whole. Like the acceptance stage in baking a cake is part of a whole process. Add adding all the ingredients to a cake mix one at a time till you get the correct batter for baking whatever cake your focus was on. Once you put the cake in the oven your focus is still on the original cake. You cannot keep opening the oven once it starts baking to add more ingredients to the mix. At some point you have to accept the batter as complete.

The focus then is to bake the cake you created with the ingredients.

Yes there is sometimes a bit of back tracking through the steps however we must remember that what we focus on we do create and as long as we're stirring the pot it's not baking.

I think I've got it.
I was being overly literal.
Thank you.
B y the way, some great things have been happening since AFL like winning a $5,000 value all-expense trip for 2 to a major event, having a creation of mine accepted by an impressive, major venue and more.
