Perhaps if you had been there you would have drowned too trying to save him. Do you know that 7 years old is too young to be responsable for another younger child? Are you punishing yourself for living?
There are no quick ways to get over this sort of thing. You have to choose to do it and then work at it.
Perhaps you could make that one of your goals in your AFL course?
