I think Win has some very interesting ideas. I think there are two reasons why I haven't taken them up to any great extent.
1. Although most aren't terribly complicated, there are generally enough steps that I can't keep them in mind. Stopping to look at the book and see the next step interrupts and detracts from the experience. Tapes or CD's might help here.
2. Win stresses feedback with other people. His ideas are just esoteric enough that I would be hard pressed to find a friend who would be willing to give it a shot.
I would agree that he provides a barrage of ideas that makes it hard to decide what to try and what not to. Perhaps a focus on the top "x" techniques with more attention to defining the steps (mnemonics, whatever) would be helpful. Perhaps a decision tree/flowchart that helps people sort through the multitude of techniques to pinpoint the ones that would most benefit them.
