Forums IMPORTANT: PLEASE READ Genius Code Freenoting and such...

I'm not sure if I am just missing it or what, but there have been several references to sections of the manual that describe processes that aren't there (or at least I haven't been able to find them).

Where, for example, is the description of Freenoting? Some schedule of best times to Imagestream? Am I just not seeing it?

Any help would be appreciated.

I haven't taken the course, but I have the book that I think the course is based on - Win Wenger's The Einstein Factor. This is probably part of the course, right?

Freenoting is discussed from page 205 in the book. Basics of ImageStreaming are gone over on page 25.

The Genius Code forum has managed to collect many who have come from Win Wengers site or read his book. Some of those ideas have come into discussion though they are not actually part of the Genius Code inital course. So no you're not missing anything.

Well at least I wasn't missing it in front of my face. That would be ... less than ideal.

My biggest problem with the course thus far is extreme difficulty getting an IS that is not contrived, yet there when I get into state. I get spontaneous ones every now and then, but those are few and far between.

You would think the zazen has come back to haunt me. I spent years learning to empty my mind, and now I want to fill it.

True enough, what they didn't teach you was to make the mind flexible enough to shift effortlessly between the two states.

Heh. You have a point. I guess genius and enlightenment are two very different things, eh?

So, when ISing is it supposed to be more of a directed visualization, or stream-of-conscious aloud? I just tried to Over-the-wall and for some reason my IS over the first wall went to an explosion of abstract shapes and random items. I wasn't trying to direct myself at all. After the second screen i went blank again.

What do I need to do differently?

Stay with it and keep describing out loud. There may be flashes of less abstract things you catch them as you're describing them out loud.

When you're working with someone they can give you a cue like. You will see a newspaper, get a flash of the heading. Read the heading. Or you will see a box describe the bos, then open the box and describe what is in it.

If you get hang ups you can select something that will cue you if you stay blank too long. You might describe hearing something or feeling something instead.
