Not interested in what Mr. Robbins has to say about enlightenment. This discussion has gotten very unweildy and as far as my opinion on internet debate, well "the medium is the message".
I'm not you opponent, not at all. I'm really just a part of your own mind else you wouldn't bother a reply. And yes, you are a part of mine, an all to familiar part. The biggest pitfall I know of is getting caught in the net of our own thinking. You can't unravel your own ego with the intellect. Some day all your conceptual walls won't just fall, they'll shatter. Me, my, mine, it will all distingrate. I know the intellects place and I also know where it doesn't belong. As long as you are so bent on engaging it, you will be caught.
From your slightly disparaging remarks about Taoism I don't think your two years of intensive study (which I imagine is quite an exageration anyway) really paid off. Taoism fully represents the "effusive joy" you claim it doesn't. I have the sensation that I'm speaking to a materialist in denial, pillaging the esoteric to enhance his firm conceptual framework of an imaginary life.
By the way, "there is nothing but truth", and you CAN quote me on that!
