I will check out the link.

Its not a matter of being turned onto or off of superlearning for me. If it doesn't work then its out. But I did have very encouraging results when I learned some vocabulary with the method in the past. I didn't use it extensively though and have been wanting to try it again. It may be worth taking an experimental approach and sharing my results on the forum.

I completely agree that it is not suggestology, but superlearning definitely does incorporates some of its basic methods. And this may be especially true of the structure of the book. As far as I've been able to ascertain, suggestopedia is Lozanov's attempt to direct every perception (subconscious and conscious) of a person in his modified environment toward absolute success in learning. The superlearning books are often criticized as being a lot of hype and exagerated claims. But let me ask you this, how did you feel when reading the books? Didn't they "suggest" rather strongly that the capacities of the mind are infinite and you could essentially accomplish anything? I know I got pretty excited and very motivated about the possibilites. But in the end the subjective nature of learning will determine what works for one individual and what works for another.

I will add that I never got the impression from the book that I would be able to just listen to a list of 1000 things with a little boroque and never forget them. The ability supposedly increases over time. Can I ask what you tried to learn with the method and how you went about it?
