Forums IMPORTANT: PLEASE READ Beyond Human foreign language learning

Greetings! Is there an easy way to improve/master a foreign language? I speak English for 20 years now, yet a strong accent is still there. When I say hello to stranges the usual response is "where are you from?". I will NEVER get the proper use of articles, and I feel handicaped for not being able to express myself as fluently and flowlessly as in my native tongue. Thanks for your advice! Era

Maybe you are using ineffective resourses, like those designed long ago for learning via the grammar translation method. Good resources obviously play a part in effective learning.

May I ask what your native language is? Do you have trouble remembering vocabulary? Is English the only language you want to master? I am only asking this last question because if you are learning a language with gender based articles like French, German or Russian, then I read of an excellent technique for remembering which nouns take which article.
