Any memory techniques that you may have learned from other courses can still be used.
I still easily memorize my shopping list by putting items in different rooms in an imaginary house. It works for me. I doubt I will use another system. For me, it is often easier to do this than it is to write down a list.
The Memory Optimizer has some of that association training, however, the biggest benefit is that when you go through the course, you will automatically improve how you use your memory. You do not have to do the exercises to receive this minimum benefit. When you do the exercises, you will receive much, much more benefit.

This approach to memory is significantly different from others that I think anyone would be pleased--especially PhotoReaders.
A guy called into the office asking if he could use this system to memorize the Gettysburg Address. I said that it could, but the course is not about memorizing, but about being able to use your brain in such a way that it is easier to remember and recall.
He then asked about memorizing something else. He said that it was important to him.
I asked him what he needed to memorize, because most people do not need to memorize, but to learn and remember.
I told him that memorizing isn't practical or even useful for most people. But learning more and remembering more is.
If you are looking for something that will help you remember everything, do not get this course. It simply is not possible.
What do I think about that other course? I haven't used it, but I understand from many people that it is very thorough from the classical perspective. But it misses the boat on how to improve learning and remembering in a brain-friendy manner.
I do not like the claims it makes. No program can live up to some of their claims. You know that I love to make claims, but I can support every claim I (we) make. I doubt that the can.
