I came across these on the web.(please see links below) Has anyone read either of these or any other books by the same author? I'd like to make sure that it's useful (I'm thinking of using the techniques in my CV) before I invest in the book(s). Any comments are much appreciated. http://www.hypnoticwriting.com/ http://www.advancedhypnoticwriting.com/

I haven't read those, but Joe Vitale does offer his book Spiritual Marketing on his website for free. http://www.mrfire.com/spirit/index.html

He also provides numerous articles and some relate to hypnotic writing. http://www.mrfire.com/profitcenter.html

Good Luck

ThomasK, thanks a lot for the links! How would you rate his work, and do you know of other authors that write on a similar subject?

Unfortunately, I don’t really know of many other authors on the same subject. I super read and skittered Spiritual Marketing a few months ago and I found that many of the concepts he brings about are very familiar to personal growth and development. I haven’t read enough of his material to really rate his work. Once I’m ready to begin my full scale marketing effort, I’ll revisit his site. If you do end up buying one of his e-books, I’d like to hear your opinion.

I found Joe Vitale’s website from a site that has an e-book by Mr. Wattle written in 1910. It’s called The Science of Getting Rich and it’s a very Taoist approach. You can read it at http://www.scienceofgettingrich.net. To sum up the whole book: it gives you some affirmations to repeat, tells you to constantly visualize what you want (bigger house, nicer car, etc) and to have complete faith in the system. Similar to the Ideal Mindset course on being and in part of the Natural Brilliance book when Paul states “Achieve a State of Being by Being not Doing”. But an interesting book, nonetheless.

Wow! Thanks again. I just downloaded the book. The contents looks very interesting.

I haven't made up my mind about whether to get the hypnotic writing book(s) or not. I wonder how much of it can be applied to CV-writing/job applications.

What does "Achieve a State of Being by Being not Doing" mean?

Essentially, it means to feel and to visualize yourself in that state before actually doing anything. Most people live life by doing actions to become who they are, but if "be" that person first you'll set the stage (and the universe in motion) to do the actions in the future. You need to let go of thoughts that inhibit this success. If you read the SOGR, you'll sort of see how this applies. LSC does a great job with this in the Ideal Mindset personal learning course and in the NB book.

Thanks for clearing that up. There's a lot of truth and wisdom in being rather than doing.
