Tessa,

The struggle being experienced can be the result of many many factors.

Environment, Peers, self esteem, lack of exercise, nutrition, belief, thoughts ... if you can truly indentify the root 'cause' then the possibility of an answer greatly increases as does success.

I've attributed my learning successes to an active lifestyle, belief and the fact I love challenge by nature. Of course other factors played into my success as well. The point is know that certain steps are required for successful learning.

The fact you have a computer, you can search the net for tons of information on learning. There literally are thousands of sites out there.

One that particulary interested me was called BrainGym. It's about movement in relation to learning. Interestingly enough, PR adopts some of the movements - thinking of an X and probably others are mentioned during the live seminars.

Check out this site http://www.mathmatters.net/braingym.htm

It talks about Braingym PACE - in other words movements and things you can do to prepare yourself for learning.

However, remember this, only your child can choose whether or not s/he wish's to succeed or fail in anything in life!

As a parent I know you only wish the best for your child. My friend always says that you can lead a mule to water, but only the mule can decide if it wish's to drink.

Present the possibilities to your child, then the rest is up to him or her.
