There are a lot of ideas in this book. It's worth reading a couple of times to better understand what the author is talking about. When I first previewed the book, I became interested in the concentration exercise on page 76. It seems like a simple "cross-eyed" image. However the author claims that this exercise "dramatically improves the harmony in our body and sharpens our mind" (pg. 77) He also says that programmers use this exercise to improve their problem solving ability. Does anyone know if this is true? Are there any programmers out there who are using the cross-eyed technique?

I looked at the bibliography in the end of the book, but he only mentions his own work to support the argument for the concentration exercise. Was there any other research done to show that practicing "cross-eyed" vision really sharpens our minds?

Hmmmmm....I'm a programmer and while I may get cross-eyed after staring at code for several hours, I've never been taught a concentration exercise like that .
