Neanderthin is an excellent eating program but it's not something I enjoy.
I've recently discovered the joys of being a vegetarian. I feel healthier when I don't eat meat. Thus, Neanderthin doesn't appeal to me anymore.
I'm working with a program called "Naturally Thin" by Jean Antonello. It deals with the ideas of eating by body signals. Eating when hungry (physical hunder), stopping when satisfied (not stuffed), eating whole foods (not processed crap), and eating on time (don't wait to eat just because of the time).
It works fantastic and works on the premise that we are typically in feast or famine cycles and that in order to be our ideal healthy natural weight we must break the cycles. This is accomplished by the tasks above. It really is fantastic and ends the "diet" cycle that most people live in.
So I incorporate this with a more vegetarian lifestyfle (I still enjoy meat, but in very small amounts) and I'm feeling much better.
REcognizing that it takes time to lose weight, I'm in this for the long haul and not looking to lose massive amounts in short periods of time. I did follow a low-carb diet at one point and lost 50lbs in 3.5 months which was very pleasing but I realize now that I was in a famine phase and it was very easy to crash and start feasting on anything but what I "should" have eaten.
