After Mastermind's post(welcome back BTW), I thought I go find this information. It's not exactly how I remember it but it gives an impression of the power of visual presence.

Non-Verbal Communication

Studies show that during interpersonal communication

- 7% of the message is verbally communicated
- While 93% is non-verbally transmitted.

Of the 93% non-verbal communication:
- 38% is through vocal tones
- 55% is through facial expressions

This means that when you talk to people what you say is only 7% of what you communicate. How you look and behave communicates 55% of the message, and you tone of voice and inflection communicates 38% of the message.
