I might if I wanted to undermind my belief system. I've looked at a lot of the negative material about PR. I can feel myself take a little step backwards everything I hear someone say you CAN'T, or it NOT possible. I have to work harder to make it work. I've done it and I've seen the results. Placibo? Maybe? Something I don't completely understand? Yes. But hey, I studied physics and I know that Knowledge goes only so far and then you have to create a model of how things work, and use it. The model may not be perfect, but until I can see how to make a better model I'll use it.

I've worked in the so-called hard sciences where you can control most of the conditions, as opposed to the soft-science where you can control only a small few of the variables. It's easy to make a wrong model. It's easy to see people pushing their own model. Science has more politics that is necessary. The soft sciences are more prone to this (don't flame me for my opinion because I'm not going to debate it). The have less control and observe more complex results. They have a much harder job. So their models are more likely to change, since they are developed with a smaller portion of the picture. That doesn't mean their models are no good. It doesn't mean that you shouldn't consider several models.

Sorry I started to ramble. Recently I've read a few papers on cognitive psychology and I didn't observe a single dominate model. What I have seen in the soft science is overly strong interpretation of experiments. I suspect that it's the politics side of the adoption of scientific ideas playing a strong role. It seem more previlent in the media reporting of soft-science over hard-science. Probably because it's easier (but not always easy) to prove the falacy in the hard-science.

Again I apologize if I've offended anyone with my hard and soft descriptors. It's just as valid to claim the my soft-science is Harder to do.

So no, I'm not interested in looking for more negative input, at this point. I have more than enough negative self-talk to deal with. None of it is productive.

If I'm wasting my time, then I'm doing a good job of it. I am feeling better and doing better than I have in several years. I've taken a long slow road from the state I was in a few years ago. NLP has been one of the tools I've used. I'm not where I want to be, but I can see I'm headed in the right direction and I'm now well along the way.

Sorry, rambled again.

Have a NICE day. May peace and happiness fill you.
