I understand what it means to come out of meditaion and feel sedated, and after some time I changed a couple of things and the feeling disolved away. Yes, for me coming out of meditaion and dealing with the rest of the world became almost unbearable and dreaded coming out of my relaxed state. Then finally I quit doing meditaion all together because of the drastic enviromental change that I had to deal with on a daily basis. Up to this point I had sporadically practiced chi-gong for a few years and remembered the feeling from it. A feeling of calmness and alertness to my enviroment so I started practicing it again instead. Speaking philosophically, it added more yang to my yin to balance out the two energies (mind body). With my now persistant attitude of pracitcing chi-gong I am now calm and alert through out much of my day; and now have no problems at all with relaxing into refinement of consciousness when I meditate.
Also another idea that I would offer is reflecting on type of diet that is choosen; and how it influences our hi's, lows, and mellow steady states of being.
