They claim Mind Lab is an astonishing new device for profound relaxation, accelerated learning and deep sleep. Simply slip on the liteframes and headphones and lie back for about 15 minutes. We've sold thousands of these 'light and sound' devices by mail order over the last eight years we've been in business!

Who has tried it out and is using it?
Is it what it claims to be ?
Would probably mostly use it with Photo Reading, Centrepointe, and Sadona as it apparently increases the learning and effectiveness of these programmes. Is nanyone currently using mindlab with these other programmes and what results are there?

Check out this site www.lifetools.com and go to Mind Lab

I've used a light and sound device since 1992. My original only had red LED. I replaced it with a Proteus last year. I just like to use it alone or with paraliminals from time to time. It works well with the paraliminals yet the paraliminals really don't require it.

I've never seen it necessary to use paraliminals with the sedona tapes. In fact after the first listening I found them much more practical in the car than in a trance state.

You could bypass the sound entrainmemt and add the light glasses for the Centerpointe CD I certainly wouldn't combine the sound with the centerpointe one I believe that combining it with different entrainment would defeat the purpose of the centerpointe on. Adding the lights would enclose the world for you while listening. However light entrainment also causes different brainwave patterns and in some cases is stronger.

If they have an impact on learning or not I cannot really say. They do make it more enjoyable and it certainly seems to stick. The relaxation aspects helps learning naturally enough. However some people may find the light distracting. The proteus allows you to dim the light to a comfortable level so if you can get it as a trail period it may be worth experimenting with.

Alex,

You had mentioned that you are able to get the the lights from Proteus to modulate according to an external sound input, such as a paraliminal tape.

I was wondering how you are able to do that, because according to the literature, only the Orion has the light modulation capability (even though it is less expensive than the Proteus)?

Cheers.

The proteus has audiostrobe. Using this feature with a voice tape works but you need to have the tape playing relatively loudly and turn the volume down on the proteus. Some CDs are produced play the audiostrobe. CD players unfortunately do not have a high enough output for ordinary CDs to kick in the light effect without audiostrobe. I have managed to get it to work with a couple of audio tapes also. Mainly its the resonance of Paul's voice that kicks the lights. Left ear one colour right ear the other colour.

Thanks AlexK that dose give me more info to think about, so you say one can use the centrepointe audio cd and the lights of the Proteus simultanously?

I have another question ? and that is dose the Mindlab Proteus re-energise the mind and give the body a energy boost after a 15 minute or so lesson?

Thanks

Yes, I have found one of the sessions goes well with the 10 minute supercharger. As Well as using one of the theta sessions for 15 minutes if I am feeling tired.
