I know they've changed to a different company, but a question I always had: did anyone feel like the subliminals on the "Dive" and "Immersion" tracks really had any effectiveness? Now, I definitely felt some benefit from using the Floating soundtrack, but I was never really that sure whether the subliminals on the other two served any purpose, other than possibly to discourage people from sharing CD's.

It is my experience that alpha-theta is the best combination for subliminal learning. Brainspeak as well as Innertalk has some tapes that use primarily alpha-theta. Theta in which deep emotional areas in the subconscious can be accessed, and alpha as a superlearning state, which facilitates the transfer of the suggestions into the context of everyday life.
It seems like there needs to be at least some theta when the subliminal meesages are received, or there won’t be any communication to the conscious mind (through the subconscious mind)
Most of the time when I listen to holosync, I experience at least a brief period of not being aware of ANYTHING AT ALL that is the deepest part of the experience, but not entirely asleep either.

At the very least, I would say a “super-delta” state is much less effective than theta-alpha for subliminal learning, thus if you are looking for specific behavioral change while using the Centerpointe program, I would recommend incorporating either the floating track or another program altogether…I have had good results doing this with Brainspeak and Innertalk.

I agree with you. I have just purchased the next two levels of holosync and have requested them without subliminals. This as a bonus will make them resellable when I have finished with them. Most of what I have read about subliminals backs up what you are saying that the alpha/theta states are best for this work.
I have personally gained more benefit from paraliminals and Natural Brilliance than I ever have from subliminals.

Nick

Guys, that's an awsome point. I'll definitely keep that in mind when I start next level (AP1). I thought they embed the messages in the alpha/theta section, delta has no use of subliminal msg. Do you actually hear your voice or is it embeded like Super Longevity 2nd track? But now they are switching to autofonix, I'm not sure about how this is different, Bill says it's a significant change - maybe you guys can shed some light. Maybe I'll get your cds Nick. But my AP will run for at least a few more months, I have been using it for 2 months.

I do not find the subliminals in the Holosync tracks or anywhere else for that matter to be truly effective. When they are effective, the effect is temporary and mild.

Since you're actually interested in behavior modification, use techniques that you can hear. Even the LSC paraliminal tapes or HypnoPeripheral Processing (HPP) tapes of Dr. Glauberman are better than subliminals.

For more effective change, look into the visualization techniques of NLP (neuro linguistic programming) or Silva Mind Control.

There's one company that packs thousands of sublminals per minute in its tracks but I did not find it to be any more effective than others. Hypnosis might be useful if you find a really good hypnotist.

You're probably better off repeating the affirmations over and over in your mind every day for a month or two. Supplement the verbal self-affirmations with writing them down many times each day. There are a number of software programs that display subliminal messages on a computer screen, but visualization or involving as many sense perceptions as possible are better ways to access the subconscious mind.

One of the more innovative uses of affirmations I have recently read about is on Gary Craigs EFT site www.emofree.com. Gary uses affirmations and then uses the EFT process on any 'tail enders'(unconscious objections to the affirmation). Check this out under a series of articles entitled 'The Palace of Possibilities'. Most information on this website is free. The CD-Video sets he sells are priced very cheaply.

There is a website www.brainsync.com that offers products for relaxation, expansion, memory and all the other gizmos. There are a bunch of demos on the site (although they are very short) and they sound very soothing. On the site they have research study, recommendation by physicans & psychologists and clinical tests posted and they sond promising. Their prices are UNBEATABLE, mostly $10-15. Do you guys know about them? Some of you are very expert on these things - any comments? I have been using H/S A.P. for a couple of months and just ordered Natural Brill a few days ago.

Yeah, I have used many of the products at www.brainsync.com. They are commonly sold in bookstores.

When I talked to Bill Harris at Centerpointe and mentioned Kelly Howell's tapes a number of years ago, Bill shrugged them off as being low-grade mass market stuff.

I tend to agree although I think their best product is called Inner Fitness since it guides you to do a Kundalini Yoga technique known as Breath of Fire. Most of the other stuff is just binaural beat patterns embedded in nature sounds.

One of the most extensive web sites on self development technology is http://www.toolsforwellness.com/ where you'll find better products.

Thanks! I've had trouble doing Breath of Fire right, and it's a big part of both Vama Cara yoga (www.kamakala.org), and the magical practices of Ross Jeffries.

The Spring Forest Qigong "Seven Steps" seems to be a slowed-down version of Breath of Fire, as far as the Qi effects are concerned. I'll check out Inner Fitness ASAP.

One of the best CDs on breathing exercises I've seen is The Healing Art of Conscious Breathing from Sadhana Concepts. Their home page is at http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/sadhana/

"The most powerful and advanced breathing program available in Conscious Breathing on the planet. Created with an introduction and three progressive breathing patterns for synchronous breathing. Conscious Breathing is using a circular breath where the inhale and exhale are connected together with out any gaps in between.

The more circular your breath becomes the more energy you are able to generate, releasing blockages in the body, negativity, stress, and tension that can be dissolved by the breath. The breathing patterns on this CD were recorded with the most efficient and natural breath possible by using sound and frequency analyzers to achieve the waveform that reflects the correct breathing pattern of Conscious Breathing. Simple, easy to learn, and an indispensable healing tool."

So, in order to promote breathing without any gaps in between inhale and exhale, they show you dolphins, creatures who spend a large part of their time underwater, holding their breath.

And people think I'm strange.
