Basically you go to your alpha level and use your imagination to see the desired result already happening in the first person perspective. this is the start of the procedure detailed by Neville in the book
"Awakened Imagination/the Search." You have to install the belief pattern and eliminate mental resistance to change.

This is how someone, say in chess, becomes a chess master. One starts thinking, acting, feeling, and assuming that one is already a chess master. And so it is.

Well, you can always have experiences that reinforce what you want to believe.

I think at the old NLP seminars they used to use tasking in order to create new beliefs and negate old ones. That is, they would challenge a person to do something that would shatter an old belief and create a new one. There's an anecdote about Milton Erickson asking some guy what he couldn't stand ... he got situation after situation concerning what the guy couldn't stand and put him through it. The experience caused a dramatic shift in the guy's beliefs and behavior.

I guess if you want to believe in something, prove it. What would it take to prove it to yourself?

If you want to change a belief dramatically, NLP is a good tool for that.

One way is to imagine clearly, very clearly, what you want to believe. See every detail. Like imagine a picture right in front of you, that you stand in the picture, situation itself. The clearer and more live you get it, the better. Then notice all the feelings you get from this.. And again, see the picture very clearly, notice the feelings. When being in the situation, nod your head and say and feel that "this is right, this is real". Maybe you at first will get much hesitation, because you feel that it's not real.. but keep on keeping on. See the picture again, say and feel that this is real. Say it, nod your head, this is real.. it is. (Even if you feel that it is not, then it is!). Feel it. It is.. This is right.

Just only use this if you know that it will benefit you. You will override any doubts and you will change a belief really quickly. Often within a few minutes I have experienced. Especially the situation you imagined. Try it and see how it works..
Afterwards you will see, that you will think in lanes of you new belief. Thinking that it is like this and this. It has been integrated then. But it's not a toy! Know that it will benefit you in all ways.
