Hi.

I was hoping to have my first post in the PhotoReading forum, because I am trying my best to learn the system, and it is what brought me here to the LSC forums. I have finished the PRWMS PLC, and have been reading the discussions here for about 2 months while trying to use everything I can to help me learn the system.

But anyways, I really could not let this go. This is just so weird that I had to share it. I figured that it belongs in this Beyond Human forum because of its nature, and because this is probably where people open to the weirdest stuff will be.

Warning: the following is very long, very overly descriptive, and very weird. Read at your own risk.

I had just gotten the personal genius tape in the mail yesterday. This was my second time listening to it. I decided that my purpose for listening was to improve my overall problem solving skills and to improve the connections between my conscious mind and my inner mind.

Every time I had listened to a paraliminal before (memory supercharger), I would lie down on my bed with headphones on. About half the time I would fall asleep, and then every time that happened I would wake up right as it ends. I recently moved my cd/tape player in my bedroom and it’s not near the bed anymore. I have to sit in a chair now. Sitting in the chair, I would listen to paraliminals with my head back as if I was in a bed. Falling asleep was easy in the chair too. (its a very comfortable chair) This time I decided to listen with my head up as if I was just sitting instead of sleeping there like before. My feet were rested on the bed with my heels very close to each other but not touching, and they were kind of in a V with the tips of my feet separated by almost a foot. (12 inches actually, sorry about the pun there.) [note: this feet stuff may seem useless, but if you keep reading you will see why I am being so descriptive.]

So I sat through the paraliminal relaxed, but very alert of what I was hearing. I was totally closed off from the external environment through. It was almost as if I was inside my body, but I was another body that is slightly smaller than my real body so that I was completely enclosed by my own real body. Weird. Like a snake with new skin trapped in its old skin that it’s about to shed. I was completely still throughout the whole tape, as if I had no need to move even if I wanted to. I really had no reason to have even the slightest movement.

So as personal genius is ending and towards the end of counting back up, I sort of have a feeling of power and control. It was as if I had a lot of power over by body. (I was recently reading a lot of the posts in PhotoReading, paraliminal, and the beyond human forms so maybe I got inspired and intrigued.) I found myself starring at my feet. But not directly. It was kind of like I was in photo focus on my feet. They were the sole object of my concentration, but I was looking past or through them rather than hard focusing on them. For some strange reason, I felt that my mind had great control over my body and that I could make my feet become ‘magnetized’ towards each other.

The paraliminal ended but my concentration on my feet did not. I could kind of feel my legs and feet were tense but I was still inside my ‘snake skin’. So keeping with the idea that I could make my feet attract each other, I kept my mind concentrated on them. Suddenly my right foot had a tiny twitch or miniscule muscle spasm or whatever you want to call it. You may know what I am talking about. You know when you are in bed half falling asleep, and suddenly for no reason you kind of let of a small jerk or kick with your leg? or maybe when you are sitting really still your hand might let out a single, unexpected quick twitch and end up about 2 millimetres from where it was before?

Well anyways, that’s what happened to my foot. But it twitched towards my other foot. My feet were now about a millimetre closer. I thought, wow, did my mind do that or was that just a coincidence that I wanted to bring my feet closer, and then it happened. I kept my concentration at my feet and my confidence in myself grew. My two feet were the only object in the world at the moment. My mind was resting on the pedestal of my lifelessly still body concentrating on my feet that seemed to be beyond my conscious control and there was nothing else in the world. I kept my concentration on my feet and within maybe 10 seconds another foot twitch occurred. This one was also working to my advantage and brought my feet very slightly closer. I set a goal.

I would not leave this chair, until my feet touched. I would close the opening at the top of the ‘V shape’. My whole body was still completely still, as if it wasn’t even part of me. Neither were my feet but I kept my concentration fixed on them, still in that strange foot photo focus. Another foot twitched occurred. These twitches are like the slight movement of the second hand of a digital face clock that isn’t actually analogue. (Aside: For those of you who didn’t know, many wall clocks with the hands and the face, aren’t actually analogue. They are digital. The movements of them are jerky. The second hand goes, tick...tick...tick, as opposed to the true analogue clock, where the second hand sweeps around continuously with no pauses between seconds.)

Wow, this is actually working, my feet were slowly ‘ticking’ together. They weren’t steady like the rhythm of a clock, but they would randomly and very slowly ‘tick’ and one foot would move a tiny bit closer to the other one. Both feet would do this. I just keep my concentration on my two feet. Nothing was going to stop me from this.

My legs were very tense. They were completely still, but it felt like my muscles were straining. Occasionally other parts of my body would twitch. My right thumb... my left elbow... my knee caps. They were completely at random and totally unexpected and they were incredibly slight jerks. The exception was that my feet twitched much more frequently, and it was always in the direction of bringing them together instead of randomly both directions.

It actually started to feel like there was a force pulling them together and opposing the natural gravitational force that likes to keep them in the V shape. This is all very strange. I am completely sure that the muscles in my body had no ‘conscious’ part in this process at all. I was not moving them as we normally move. It just happened, unexpected and at random intervals.

My eyes weren’t hard focused, but I could clearly see that my feet were maybe 2 or 3 inches closer together than they were before I decided that I wanted them to attract. This seemed promising, so I continued with my solid and relentless concentration on my feet alone as the sole object in the universe other than my powerful mind, and my eyes that assisted me with my vision.

I thought that maybe if I closed my eyes and tried to visualize my feet being drawn together, than it would help me. I slowly close my eyes to a point where they were kind of half closed, but I could still see everything kind of washed out and dark and grey. In this position my eye lids fluttered uncontrollably. I decided to stay in this eye fluttering position and see my washed out and greyed feet while picturing and wishing for them to be drawn together. The twitching continued, sometimes it would go away for a good minute, and sometimes I would get a few twitches within 10 seconds. All of these twitches were very small movements, but eventually my feet were about 1 inch apart.

At this time, my cat that was sitting on my bed, decided to wake up, jump down, and start pawing and pounding at my door wanting me to get up and open it. I didn’t look, but it was loud and almost distracting enough for me too get up. (Sleeps all day, why does he have to pick right now to get up and bang on my door!). I thought that it would be funny if the cat jumped on the bed and went up to sniff my feet that I had been concentrating so deeply on. Eventually the cat gave up and jumped back on the bed, but before lying back down he decided to walk right on my shins and stand there for a second, I could no longer see my feet.

I had almost given up but he walked off and curled up somewhere else. Good. I was still in this game. My feet were very tense, but I still had no ‘conscious’ input to their movement or twitches. Within about a minute or two of the cat disturbance, they began their randomized, slight twitches again. I kept my concentration and kept making slight progress. Soon my feet were less than 1 cm apart.

They felt very tense, and I could feel the heat between them. They seemed to be very hot, especially in the inner edges where they were very close. It really felt as if they were being pulled together against gravity’s will.

A long time passed, and they had become so close together that I couldn’t see any space between them. They weren’t actually ‘touching’ yet. Maybe the fabric of my socks were touching, but my feet were not close enough. If I opened my eyes more than the half open that they were, I could see a ‘blip foot’ (like a blip page for all you PRers) because I wasn’t in hard focus. I knew that I couldn’t give up, so I kept my intense concentration.

Well you guessed it, TICK! My feet touched. I won! I opened my eyes fully and looked at the clock. I hadn’t consciously moved a single muscle at all (except for my eyelids) since I started Personal Genius 70 minutes before. Wow, I’ve never been so still in my life, and I was pretty weirded out about the whole situation.

So what’s up with this? Is this normal at all? Is this even possible or am I going a little nuts? I know very little about all this ‘exploring the vast capabilities of the human body and mind’ stuff so I was hoping some of you experts would be able to comment.

Thanks for using your time to read this.

Hi Travis,

You were most probably in a deep hypnotic state, a good and nice trance. As far as I know it's a very pleasurable feeling.

The movements you described were "unconscious movements". Unconscious movements are jerky, and are not willed by the conscious mind. In your case you were able to have some conscious involvement because of the deep trance.

A good example of unconscious movements is the finger signals that hypnotists and nlpers sometimes use. Yes for the right forefinger and no for the left. That way you can discuss with somebody's unconscious mind with yes/no questions.

Hope you will have lots of this kind of experiences in your future! Continue experimenting....

May the door be with you,
