I use the proteus. Love the fact that you can dial down the light to almost dim or have it bright. I also have the choice of light glasses. The blue ones seem to help more for the intuition and the green ones for goals. Either worked well with paraliminal though paraliminals don't need the boost. My proteus has 50 presets. Some are for studying with, some for relaxation, and some for deep relaxation and dreaming. Creating your own sessions can be fun, especially if you've toyed with bwgen.
It would be best if you could try the L&S device before you buy it. If you haven't used one before. Some people hate them. Some like them bright and other like them dimmer.
I personally don't think that you need them for paraliminals. If you think you need to plug in a L & S device to get the benefit of the paraliminals consider the problems of wiring them up. You have the wires to the cassette or CD player, the light glasses and the headphones. Setting that up (untangling the cords) can be more distracting from the paraliminal than just putting on the tape and putting on the headphones.
