Rhammond2k,
Reading what you have written brings to mind the statement, "Before enlightenment, chopping wood and carrying water. After enlightenment, chopping wood and carrying water."
I have taken that statement to mean something like the return of the hero who comes to the place he always was yet knows it as if for the first time. That is, it is all the same, it is all the world, yet it is different at the same time. I am certainly not enlightened, but I can totally see that the experience of it would be, by necessity, inclusive rather than exclusive.
What interests me as well is the stuff I read about the Dalai Llama in Destructive Emotions which points to a brain state in which the chemistry is such that many of these desires are not so much of an issue. They may exist, but certainly not in the same way ... They did seem to point, however, at a brain state in which things like anger would be almost impossible, biochemically, to experience ... so maybe this exclusive state of enlightenment does exist ... ?
