I was really excited when I first heard about them, all their promises of increased presence and mental strength sounded really cool. I'm sure the binural frequency has an effect, but not even close to that which should cost 200+ a program. After thinking about it a while I realized they really do rip people off, Bad. Because I thought to myself, any good meditation technique with non judgemental focus on the mind would help one recognize stuck spots, bring them into awareness and then let them go. I personally do a kind of meditation to God where I release it to him and he's really there for me. And now with Hemi-Sync and Awakened Minds meditation CD's you could get this same deepening of your already powerful meditation techniques. It just takes that discipline to do it every day for specific times, thats half the battle.
And when Bill Harris talks about "new neural pathways" and "strengthening the brain to reoganize at a higher level", he says it like it's some new kooky scientific discovery. We all know new neural pathways come about when you "learn" or see things differently, or open your minds to new solutions and perceptions". And as far as strengthening the brain to handle situations in life, you have to just be "really present" at all times and practice that all the time. Martial arts training, present awareness, learning, weight traing or exercise, including "good ole meditation", and simply trusting the one true non-religious God. These things cost nothing really compared to Holosync. Then there's awesome things like PEAT, EFT, Sedona. My point is that Holosync should not be seen as this great answer, don't wait for binurals, start meditating now, I guarantee some of us will experience "old fassion" overwelm similar to what happens with Holosync. Those of you interested in Holosync who are on a budget, don't waste your money!! You'll get the same effects if not better from just regular meditation, Learning Strategies stuff, and simple living your life and learing and growing in it, thats really the most important thing. And your brain will re-organize, it has no choice, thats nothing new.

Since there's a one-year full money-back guarantee I don't see any reason why people shouldn't at least try it out, even if on a budget. I don't need to defend Holosync but do think that people should have the possibility to make up their own minds. With the guarantee they can.

It does seem that it isn't for everyone and certainly not "the End". Who'd want that? = )

A lot of times, a money-back guarantee from a mail-order company is not worth the paper it's printed on. You have to ship the product back to them and hope that they are honest enough to send you your money. If they don't, there is really no way to prove that they didn't because it is your word against theirs. You stand the risk of losing both the CDs and your money. Centerpointe may be honest enough to send you a refund, but you are definitly taking a chance.

I wasn't impressed with holosync either. The advertisements made it sound like it was a phenominal breakthrough and that it would solve all of your problems. I ordered the Awakening Prologue and levels I and II, but I never got any benefit whatsoever. I eventually stopped using it because I was getting no benefit and I had more productive things to do with my time. I felt like I was wasting my time with it.

I believe the advertising for holosync is dishonest because it misrepresents the kind of product it is. Most people that have gotten benefits from the program describe slow, balanced changes that came after months and years of practise. The advertisements describe deep and radical changes that come very quickly (within a year). It was very frustrating for me reading Bill Harris's newsletter every two weeks because he continually described the changes that I was 'no doubt' experiencing in my life. It made me feel like I really had no hope of changing and that nothing could help me.

One advertisement for holosync said that it could help anybody and that there was no problem that it could not deal with. Personally, I think that kind of advertising is irresponsible and dishonest considering it is directed at people who are suffering and may be desperate for something to take their pain away. When they make promises like this, they really take advantage of people who are struggling with personal problems. Not to mention the fact that their products are very expensive. I know that holosync has helped some people, but no product works for everybody. To claim that it does to get people to spend massive amounts of money ($200+) is unethical.

For me, Open Focus was far more effective and it cost a fraction of what Centerpointe costs. The advertising was also a lot more honest and down-to-Earth.

Hi everyone:
First of all, I respect all your opinions and as I have said before different strokes for different folks but I want to let others know how wonderful Holosync has been for me.
Holosync has done more for me than I ever expected. I began listening in February and in a short time my obsessive compulsive behavior was gone. Now, folks I had OC for many years and I tried other ways to eliminate it and couldn't. I started meditating when I was in my late 20's(I'm 51) and in the beginning I had some deep meditations then for the next 20 years I could not achieve a deep state UNTIL Holosync.
For the last 20 years I have gone through countless self help books and a few seminars trying to eliminate insecurity and shyness and it didn't happen. A few weeks on Holosync and it is gone.
Also, in my 20's I developed rheumatoid arthritis and then it went in to fibromyalgia. I left no stone unturned when it came to researching and experimenting with alternative methods of healing. I made only a little progress in health. With Holosync these diseases improved about 80-85% and since I have just added SF Qigong to my life they are virtually gone.
I would pay double the price for Holosync if that is what Bill Harris wanted to charge. If you didn't see any results with Awakening Prologue stick with it because some people see results on higher levels.

I was very unimpressed with Holosync at first, although Awakening Prologue was deeply relaxing. However, after nearly two years in the program I am very impressed. At times overwhelm has made it tough to follow the program, but I am glad I did. I do not believe that there is one product which does it for all individuals. I certainly agree with the criticisms of Centerointes advertising. In the end it is up to the individual. But if it works for so many don't be so quick to criticise.

Yes, the advertising sucks. I'm happy that I found a forum http://pub28.ezboard.com/bcenterpointe
that talked a lot about the false advertising. I think I have a good frame of mind about what's possible with it. The rest is just icing on the cake. I filter through most of what Bill Harris says.

I just love the forums.

Heartbeat—

With a daily meditation practice of between 1-2 hours, I have yet to feel overwhelm with Holosync or Awakened Minds. I do feel the usual challenges of mindfulness meditation, but no more so using the binaural beats. The strategy of dealing with them is the same, observing my mind and/or body in detail and with equanimity as best I can. The main benefit, as far as I can tell, is that I'm inclined to meditate for slightly longer periods using binaural beats than without.

Sure I would like to try higher levels of holosync to see for myself if it presents any new challenges. But you can't buy the higher levels without buying the lower ones. So no, I don't think I'm going to conduct a series of $300 experiments to see at what level something kicks in that feels new or challenging.

NickR,

I am glad to hear that the holosync has helped you so much. It sounds like it has done some good for a lot of people. I still have to stand by my criticism, though.

The marketing implies that holosync is some sort of cure-all, and there is really no such thing. There are a lot of people that might be vulnerable to that kind of sales pitch. They have a great responsibility to advertise their product truthfully, especially considering the nature of the product and the special needs of their customers. They fail miserably at that and I think they should be held accountable.

Why won't this topic die?

How much more can be said about it?
