I'm with Babayada on this. Holosync at the entry level was helpful to me, and it appears to be very useful for many people who continue with it, as I have not. (I switched to Awakened Minds).
If I was "put off" with some of he initial claims of Holosync at its website, I almost laughed reading a follow-up Holosync mailing suggesting that people who have qualms about trying it or continuing with it are the ones who need it most— the same line that shrinks have been known to use to pressure people to continue in therapy. Well, some people "who need it most" do quit because of their resistance —and some people quit because the shrink is incompetent or hey, they're not good candidates for psychotherapy at that particular time, or ever, or all of the above.
I don't know how many months qualify as a fair trial for Holosync. Individuals can figure that out with their reactions to the product, their tolerance for risk and their checkbooks.
In any event, Bill Harris is in no position to guarantee that it can work for everyone if they just give it enough time, and Centerpointe enough money. That claim itself should make everyone's b.s. antennae start quiveriing.
The p.r. surrounding Holosync (and a billion other therapy products and modalities) is irresponsible and disappointing.

I will comment on their marketing. I too find their marketing too tempting in a way. I know i havn't gained much self control when it comes to spending yet but i am getting better.

I feel like i need to go to the further levels. What mainly does this for me are the other participants on the centrepointe forum though. I hear about their experiences and i want to go as far as they have.

I think is mainly a perosnal thing though. It really doesn't effect everybody in the same way. He is a business man and business men need to persuade you i guess. So that is the economy.

I'll at least give him 10 out of 10 for effort. Also, i don't think his advertising is in anyway wrong IF he believes what he writes is true. who knows..

Marketing is a tough area, because the point of marketing is to drive interest in your product and to increase sales. These are all business issues and by basic business as well as common ethical standards we don't want to have people making false claims. We can probably all agree on that.

In the most abstract way that we can look at Centerpointe - we can see them as a meditation modality program. Most people will recognize the basic validity of meditation as a development regimine. It has been proven throughout written history.

If you boil all of Centerpointe's marketing down - what you are left with is this basic claim - Holosync will help you to meditate in a very deep manner - just as people who have had many years or even decades of experience in meditation would. I believe what they mean by this is that the Holosync product will cause your brain wave patterns to match those of deeply experienced meditators while they are meditating. Based on their research into brain wave patterns, yogis and lamas meditating and brain entrainment technology - I think that Centerpointe (Bill Harris) believes this to be true.

Now what exactly that would mean for each individual trying the program is probably going to be a very personal and subjective thing. To have one's brain take on the pattern of deep meditation is one thing. If the person has no experience of meditation - they may have very little conscious awareness of the effect of this process on their thinking and behavior. From this perspective their is no short-cut around traditional meditation's process of building the bridge of consciousness into the higher mind. This is a process that takes time, discipline and clear intention. The Holosync process will not give you those things - you will have to provide them. This is the same for any personal development process. It is along this line that Centerpointe's marketing probably goes most astray, however I believe they try to make up for it in their support system.

It takes discipline to work with the Centerpointe program just as it does with any other development program. In the case of Centerpointe it also takes a very specific amount of money continued over many years. The program can take ten years to complete to the very end - or longer if you like. If you have the discipline to keep that kind of focus there are other programs that I believe are more effective, depending on your inclination, and the intentions and goals of your development practice than the Holosync process. There are even programs that function completely by the voluntary support of the students.

If anyone is interested in such programs I could give more information.

B.

I also am very interested in such programs. Please email the info to:
cmtsailor@hotmail.com
or I think it is appropriate to post them here to avoid sending potentially several emails.

OK, since you ask I will offer my suggestion for what I have found to be the most effective training program that I have found. It is also, the most absolutely non-commercial group that you could find - if you could find it. It doesn't use any cool gadgets or tapes and it does require real focus and determination over years, but the rewards are, to my mind, unquestionably worth it.

If you are driven by an unquenchable thirst for self-knowledge and a keen desire to be of service to the world, then investigate the Arcane School:
http://www.arcaneschool.org/arcane/

You will not be pursued as a customer. There is no marketing. There are no false-claims or promises of any sort.

This is not something that I just found - I have extensive years of experience with the school.

Greetings;

I've used a few different brain synchronization tools to deepen meditation; including Centerpoint, Synchronicity, Brainsync and Monroe Institute's Hemi-sync.
By far the most powerful I have found is the Monroe Institute tool.

The Monroe Institute originally developed the binaural pulse technology and holds the patent. There is simply something *different* about thier audio technology. I have had much more profound results with their tools than any of the others, and without all of the hype and cultish baggage found in some of the other programs. Robert Monroe has been highly respected for many years for his work in human potential and the mind.

You can access information about their tools at http://www.hemi-sync.com

Did you have any long lasting effects? One view I've heard about hemisync is that it's just temporary. You get your high but no real lasting change. I'd be glad to hear about any other views. What lasting change have you recieved?
