Shr33m,

I'd like your opinion on this.

I have pretty much been a skeptic most of my life with a tendency to play around with mysticism, spirituality, and the occult. I sorta keep one foot firmly in what my reason tells me is true, but dip the other foot in the pond, so to speak, of spiritualism.

Well, there was one point in my life when I was surrounded by tons of people involved in all kinds of spiritual things. I met a guy who studied under a guru in India, did LSD therapy, and lots of other stuff. We did this exercise together that had an amazing effect. I could literally feel the awareness in other people he had done the exercise with, and they could feel mine. I was healed by two energy workers, and was just around tons and tons of good stuff.

I got home and I literally felt like I had been living in a mental and spiritual ghetto by comparison.

After a while of living with my family and in the same city, things return to normal. Back to the ghetto. Since then I have been trying all sorts of things to get back up.

My feeling is that I was strongly influenced by the people and energies around me. If they are up, I am up. If down, I go down. I've done all kinds of things to bring and keep my own energy up with varying levels of success, but nothing like I felt while I was in the mountains surrounded by all that good stuff.

I've often asked myself the question, "What's the freaking deal?" It's like being given a little taste of heaven, and then being plopped back down on earth. I don't want to spend the rest of my life trying to scramble up hills, trying to get there again, because I know from experience where that gets me.

Maybe that was my once in a lifetime thing? I don't know.

I guess my question to you is the same I ask myself, "What's the freaking deal with this?"

Babayada, it sounds like you may be an empath. Just seal off your energy field. See http://www.psipog.net/ for pointers. You should also learn to discriminate between different energies as many are not worth getting involved with.

The guy who was training people at the NLP seminar in Colorado about rapport skills used me as a subject when we did the "second position" exercise. I wondered about that.

I am pretty empathetic. I can imitate people fairly well if they impress me somehow. I can also know what people are feeling and kinda thinking sometimes. It is good for getting along with people right away and making friends, but it sucks emotionally.

Question: can I just attune myself to higher energy vibrations even though no one is around? I have tried going back and remembering the feeling of the energy from the healers but have gotten limited results.

Attunements (aka initiations) always require a being to act as an intermediary for the desired energy, whether the being is alive or not in physical form. But it can be done without living people around. Don't make the mistake of being indiscriminate with getting anyone's energy as they are different. You vibrate at the lowest common denominator of what you can receive. Only go for the very best (which means avoid most of what's available on the open market). For example, Reiki is very seductive but IMHO is next to useless for high level growth. The moral is, whatever is popular may not be desirable.

Had a look at the sight and that's certainly something I'm not ready for. Perhaps it's effective, just a bit too sci-fi for me right now.

Here, here. Whenever I'm proud of something I've done I need other people to reflect my happiness to really feel it. I feel other peoples feelings better than my own. Beeing mindful kicks that monkey away tho.

Hobo......what you have described is clearly explained in the book Dianetics.
i.e. We all have a Reactive Mind, which is simply the recording of all our past painful, terrible, unpleasant experiences, and they all together form an energy that is sometimes restimulated by things in your environment that resemble those of the past.
When this restimulation is triggeed, we feel bad, we forget, we lose joie de vivre, etc, etc. etc.

Technically such a moment of restimulation ic called a KEY-IN.
What we need in those moments is a
KEY-OUT.

And this can be done sometimes successfully by recalling vividly a moment of success, a moment of happiness, a moment when you were in very good communications with another.

Good luck

After thinking about their $188 special and all the stress in my life, I thought maybe it's time to give this course a try. I hope it delivers, I have alot of uncertainty in my life and I have alot of buttons that get pressed that I'm sure are related to past hurts. Each day when I get home, I check the mailbox for my package!

I got this note from Hale (of the Sedona Method: http://www.sedona.com) a while back regarding the Release Technique/Abundance Course by Larry Crane: http://www.releasetechnique.com/index.html.

I have taken both courses and I find the Release Technique to be both basic and advanced at the same time. It took me through most of what I learned in the Sedona Method in just the first couple of tapes and then took me much further.

I experienced some benefits from the Sedona Method, including feeling much lighter, more and more in control in general, but it didn't really help me achieve my goals. Larry's program filled that gap for me and took all of my releasing to a much higher level. He also teaches one how to "be in release" 24/7, which has been invaluable to me.

Note from Hale Dwoskin:

---------
Dear Friend,

I wanted all graduates of the Sedona Method, to know that the Abundance Course is the perfect way to move Releasers to an even higher level. I am familiar with the results that graduates have been achieving using the "No Attachment, No Aversions" exercises that Lester taught Larry. It is an advanced course that will help you enhance what you have already learned in The Sedona Method tapes.

If one had no attachments and no aversions, one would be totally free.

I think this material is a must for anyone who is interested in improving their level of Happiness, Inner Peace and Abundance of everything in life.

I highly recommend you order the Abundance Course and the other courses taught by Larry or at least call him directly so he can give you a sample of what I am talking about. You'll be happy you did!

Love,

With sedona you really achieve everything just by letting go the desire to have your goal. It's the most profound and powerfull method i have ever done; it works all the time and in my opinion it is far better than Paul's courses as with it i was really able to achieve everything effortlessly; more: within minutes i had no more fear of people, self sabotage beliefs, feeling bad/depressed, lacking money / success.
Larry Crane 's advanced courses are just a guide that every Sedona graduate can use in order to achieve faster whatever he would like to experience.
The sedona method by it self is very complete and you won't ever need any other course.
Larry's advanced courses do not teach you anything new at all, but they just guide you into realising more stuff than you would ever do on your own.
It is like meditating every day on your own versus guided meditation on core subjects.
The sedona method is not just a method to let go your emotions, it is something you use to resolve every issue and to have anything there's to have in life.
The book is great, but i would raccomend to have the cd course with the free book; then Larry's courses if you want to speed up your progress.
Understand this: Larry's teaches how to have 100000 $ or more just by releasing only ! NO action required !!!
Impossible ? not at all, find out by your self... while the sedona method is well designed and it is for true beginers larry Crane takes you far more ahead into havingness just by releasing only, anything !It has been the missing link for me: for the past 19 years i have been searching and doing many courses, i spent so many money than you can ever imagine and i have bever being satisfied 100% with the results; then i saw a post in this forum about the sedona method and i did it ( it was my last course i didn't want to do any more courses after this one as no course ever worked 100% for me; imagine my surprise when i did it and i found out my missing link, finally after 19 years of searching and looking i did find my answer for all at last !!!!).
Everything is so clear to me now and i feel so great now that i have everything i ever dreamed of.
NO more courses, no more spending money; one simple and cheap course has everything in it.
Follow my steps... first do the sedona method course.
Then if you want more do the advanced courses.

Actually the Abundance for Life course consists of fantastic teaching from many people and it's definately unlike any other course marketed. Probably because it isn't just one persons Ideas but a number of people and provides a way to apply all their experiences and teaching into one course.
