Forums IMPORTANT: PLEASE READ Beyond Human Being a Great Communicator

I am really interested im becoming a great communicator. It kind of one of my life's goals. I have dabbled in some psychology and NLP, and those type of things, but to no avail. What is the best way to achieve this goal of mine? I want to be extremly well spoken, be able to persuade, seduce all that. I would like to become a professional speaker. Does anyone know of any websites, or programs or have any general information I could use? I know this may not be the right place to post this, but I don't know where else to. Does anyone know of any other message boards about NLP, communicaton ect? Any help would be appreciated. THANKS

I recommend Richard Bandler video seminars, and also Ross Jeffries. Ross Jefferies is focused for getting girls but if you can learn how to use his techniques with girls you can apply the same techniques to business and communication.

I think above all else it is important to practice what you learn. Just listening and studying will do little. Im sure you local "toast masters" club around where you live where you can practice talking in front of a group of people to build your confidence.

The best sources I've seen on using NLP for persuasion are Kenrick Cleveland (www.maxpersuasion.co) Ross Jeffries (www.seduction.com) Essential Skills (www.essential-skills.com), Kevin Hogan (www.kevinhogan.com), David Barron (www.brightbomb.com), and Leading Edge Communications (http://www.nlpandhypnosis.com/). Leading Edge Communications has an excellent workbook on language patterns and free skill building exercises. Some of these sites have links to email discussion lists. Another list is Mindlist on Yahoo groups.

kmurph885, I'll echo bennypr2002. Studying and programming are one thing, but you should get out there and do. Check-out Toast Masters, it is quite instructional and opened enough that you can add whatever you what to achieve for yourself. I will suggest that you check out a few clubs if you have that luxury. Each club has it's own personality. It's free to be a quest and any club will let you visit as often as you like.

If you do join, it's quite cheap.

BTW, I joined last November and I'm giving my third speech next week. I've been impressed by my own achievements and what I've learned. The learning comes as much from the doing as the little instruction / guidance you get from the member material.

It's a self-paced all volunteer (club members) program. You can even be a member at several clubs if you like.
