I am a Dianetics Auditor, and recently while I was giving a session to a lady, she commented: "Wow..it's amazing, my hands feel so warm. I can feel the energy pulsating in my palms. It's true, they are energy channels."

Since I'm new to QiGong, it was a delightful surprise to her say that.

Sounds great. Maybe share think about sharing posts like these in the SFQ forum too.

Not everyone visits all the forums.

You are perfection.

Dianetics Auditor sounds perhaps more credible than that you told people you've been brainwashed by the Scientology church.
I recommend people to stay away from that "church".
They try to sell courses to people at incredible overprices giving them debt for life.
Check out more about Scientology at these links: www.rotten.com/library/religion/scientology/ www.xenu.net/ www.xenu-city.net/

I've been in Dianetics and Scientology since 1983 and find them to be amazing sources of wisdom and light. My knowledge and love of humanity have increased a hundredfold because of them.
I truly pity those who attack them without understanding what they are all about. Tiz a pity indeed!

dianetics85,

Don't mind the intolerance, its good to have you posting here.
Have you ever tried the holosync program? I have wanted to get an auditor's input on it for a while. If you have, how would you compare completion of the holosync program -- Flowering Level 4 -- with the state of clear? I have wondered about this for many months.

I am on the purif right now and have done holosync through about Flowering Level 2

Bjhn,

While I probably share a good deal of your beliefs about Scientology, it's rude to say what you have just said. You can at least be polite.

When I first saw the name, I must admit I balked. But then I thought, "Now here is an opportunity to see how someone involved in Scientology behaves ... so let's just be polite."

Dianetics,

Having the palms become warm is a typical response to relaxation. Blood flow increases to various parts of the body.

How long have you been auditing?

From what I have read, auditing sounds pretty similar to EMDR. During EMDR I had a whole host of very, very interesting experiences. So I expect the more auditing you do, the more amazing and weird stuff you and your clients will experience.

Bjhn, I am with you. Toleration is all very well, but not when it concerns an organisation which behaves as badly as the Church of Scientology.
L Ron Hubbard was a charlatan of the first order. His philosophy does contain some useful knowledge (check out www.trans4mind.com), but it also contains some dangerous fantasy. Hubbard was a lurid 'pulp fiction' writer and it shows.
The Ch of Sc is very interested in the rich. To cross the bridge in their parlance you need to be seriously 'well heeled'. There are no refunds if it does not work. If you are not rich you can always sign a contract with the 'Sea Org' which ties you to the organisation for a 'billion years'. (Wonder how that would hold up in a court of law). I took two of their basic courses twenty years ago;decided it was not for me and found it very difficult to shake them off. Officials from the movement harassed me at work and came unbidden to my home. I still recieve mailings from them at my parents home.
My local Ch of Sc was staffed by well meaning idealists who were paid a pittance, based on how many courses and books they sold. They were encouraged by higher officials in The Church to claim income and housing benefits. Not the behaviour of an honourable organisation. In the U.K. if you claim benefits you are declaring that you are available for work. As an organisation this is not very honourable behaviour. Using tax payers money to subsidise your staff.
Another strange thing the people in The Church acted like L Ron Hubbard was alive when in fact he had been dead for several years! By the way Hubbard chose to register his organisation as a Church so that earnings would be tax free.
Check out the book 'Bare Faced Messiah' and the weblinks above.
Charlatans and 'snake oil' salesman do not deserve to be treated with 'kidgloves'. Scientology has ruined lives and split families. It is a dangerous cult.

I really believe in trying to be polite and civil as much as possible in our interactions on discussion boards. Flame wars really benefit no one. It's like watching the screaming and obnoxious behavior we see so much on "discussion forum" shows on television, or even worse shows like Jerry Springer. I know that we can do better than that.

However, we can still be critical, objective and honest in our discussions.

In my time living in New York City, I became interested in the culture of the con-artists who worked their trade on the streets of the city - the 3 card monte and shell games which I would see everyday on Canal Street as I went about my business and errands. I would stop and watch the games and observe the situation. They would work in large groups and many of the "spectators" were actually a part of a very sophisticated team of con-artists. The local cons would meet each morning at a coffeeshop and put together their plan of attack for the day and scramble up different teams of people - decide who was going to play what role and such. Then when a "mark" would show up at the game - then in progress with nothing but team members playing - money flying, changing hands, people seeming to be making so much easy money, they would subtley slide over to make room for him and then the real game would begin. Now, I was trying to keep a low profile as I did my "research", but because the con-team made up most of the crowd around the game - they knew who the marks were very clearly. On a few occasions I tried to warn the mark and to get them out of there, but this was somewhat of a dangerous activity because these cons meant business. We aren't being rude to the team of con-artists when we try to inform the marks that they are walking into a trap, but we may need to watch out for ourselves when we do.

The connection between the above story and Scientology is that I "saw" L. Ron Hubbard planning out the con that he would later turn into Scientology. He did it very openly and in a context and language that made no mistake about the fact that he understood himself as a con-artist working his art on the "ignorant and gullible" masses.

Now that I have set up that scenario - let me share that I was an avid science fiction reader as a young adult and I devoured hundreds of books of this type. I can't recall the exact title, but I do remember that one was by L. Ron Hubbard, and I do recall the slick angling of his thought and characters in his story as Mr. Hubbard laid out the idea that would later become Scientology. Basically he was going on in a contemptuous way about the gullibility of people in general - the whole "a sucker is born every minute" angle - and then his character lays out what a great con idea it would be to create a religion - you could make a fortune and basically be treated as a god. It is all laid out in black and white and this ultimately is what Mr. Hubbard did, working from his conman roots. It is too bad that the majority of people who find their way to scientology haven't first read that book because it would at least put a very different spin on things if they had.

I am not saying that many people don't feel that they get something wonderful from scientology - I am sure that many do. We are capable of conditioning ourselves to believe and experience any subjective reality that we will choose. The objective thing to remember - is that Scientology was conceived in the mind of L. Ron Hubbard as a sophisticated con to enrich himself and to basically deify himself. So you can get involved with Scientology if you want, and you could even decide to have a good time and to feel enriched by it as well. Just remember the foundation upon which it was built and consider if you might not be able to do better by breaking free of the trances that control your thinking to truly empower yourself.

I have some sympathy with the reasonable 'live and let live' philosophy, but not when it concerns con artists and charlatans.
People being ripped off, families being broken apart and taxpayers subsidising cult followers. Scientology does not deserve to be taken seriously.

Reply to all: No I havn't heard of the holosync program.

I've been a Dianetics auditor since '85,
audited dozens and dozens of people. It's an amazing visit deep into the mind and history of people. Just today my PC (preclear) returned to birth and exhausted the painful birth she experienced. AFter the session her face was bright and shiny and full of smiles. It's indeed a pleasure to be of help to others.

To Nick R...re: Sea Org. My daughter has been in the Sea Org in LA for 14 years. Just last week she came to visit us to attend the wedding of her brother...I was the minister of the ceremony. It was one of the biggest joys of my life.

Scientology today is expanding all over the world----in over 100 countries or more.

Dianetics is translated now into over 60
languages across the globe.

The wisdom of Dianetics and Scientology will not be crushed by those who hate us.
Why?
Because the human spirit truly recognized good and truth.

All it takes is a good, honest, sincere LOOK, and you'll see it immediately.

For those who don't, then the words of
Ron Hubbard can be your guide. He said dozens of times---and this is what convinced me to become more involved back in '83

"If it's true for you, it's true for you.
It's not true just because I or somebody
says it's true."

Now that's good advice.

Have a happy day.
