Then just describe out loud with the vocabulary you have. Pointless using words you don't know the meaning of.

Who says image streaming has to be done in English.

If you want to improve your English just do it. Hesitating looking for the right word is an excuse everyone uses it doesn't matter if they have a big vocabulary or not because we are going back to the beginning and looking at the picture and trying to put it into words just talk to the right description. You're describing it for someone who cannot see it and fancy words don't help. They say a picture is worth 1000 words... so start saying the words that describe the picture and as you do more will come.

thats the whole thing i can't get the words out
i have a pretty terrible vocabulary
and half of what i do know i do not know really what it means

and i do not know enough about words to differentiate between ones i should and shouldnt be using in different circumstances

i cannot desribe how something looks
its looks as it looks to me

i could simply say it appears and i wouldn't be really getting anywhere

i seem to be getting the same type of help around here
-do what you cannot do and you will be able to do it
sorry but i just cannot do what i cannot do

i find it somewhat difficult
im looking for the steps

ether they do not exist or are forgotten or kept hidden
either way i only ever seem to get the same result most of the time

sorry if you think im trying to have a go but im rather dissapointed by it all

you say that it is hard for people to move from one to the other but i keep trying and i always seem to screw up

it's because im too used to not doing it and describing it that im so slow moving with it

im not trying to say that i think i does not work but im wondering how i can get it to

Like I said it doesn't have to be in English. Do it in German else? However I note that you are good at expressing yourself on the post. Consider it. How is it any different? Don't tell me someone else is writing it for you"

You have enough of a vocabulary to describe. There are no perfect words so you need to start talking.

It doesn't come easy for anyone because we are retraining the mind to not come up with just one word to decribe the picture like it normally does.

For example a stick, to describe fully, it can be 20cm long wriggly or wobbly with 7 little elbows and a little tuff of ne green leaves on the fourth elbow from the top. It's a shade of dark grey smooth looking bark but feels a bit like super-fine sandpaper. The top is about 3mm thick and the bottom about 1cm. The small leaves are a shade of green like a clover and there is a little red band at the knob. Even though the stick is wriggly it's still relatively straight.

That was an image stream I just did for you while writing.

I don't know what your expectations are but whining about it doesn't help. It's like learning to ride a bike, for most of us it took 50 goes till we were able to get enough momentum and actually ride the bike without dragging our shoes. As adults we become quitters at the slightest sign of it being difficult. We forget it takes about 50 tries till we become a player at it. Isn't it odd, we try try again with video games and never stop to think that learning something like image streaming is like moving up the levels of a video game. Just because we are not interacting with a computer does it mean our learning curve is going to be faster?

Go easy on yourself Prana. The answer is keep going. If necessary practice with a tape-recorder describe an object, describe a pencil that you have in detail draw me a picture with words. Then close your eyes and continue to do that in your emage stream.

yeah but isnt all that stuff abstract?
what about the other way of doing it?
thats where im lost
explaining length gives me no feeling i guess
or colour

i do not get what i am missing out on

like someone who never felt the wind

how do i know im not making up details as i go?
this end is 3mm
is it?
or did i make myself think it is to make it easier and it gets me nowhere

my problem is i ask too many questions
im supposed to stay an idiot lol

i have to make up the image to desribe it but i cannot get it clear in my head

i think my school years crushed my visual imagination
musically sure no problem
ill think up 5 tunes while typing lol

i really am lost
thankyou for trying to help me but i really have no clue how to make any of it happen

i cannot draw like i used to
i can still do it but my mind is so dry of ideas of what to draw

maybe i should give up any rational logical things like trying to do my math and grammar

maybe nothing of this is helping me

i wish to be a master of many trades not a master of one or jack of all

i can lucid dream and imagine it so vividly but my day dreams have never been present

when i close my eyes i see black and nothing
no image in my mind

well the only thing i can see sometimes is electronic like blue pulses but ive no idea what that is about

i've got no idea where to start basically
ive been doing it in the tape recorder
but my problem is i stop after about one or two words

usually "it is" or "there is" and then nothing

it does not come to mind
though id like to know where it is and why it will not come

im thinking i missed out on the proper education when a child

i am not good at some of the fundamental things
makes me think everything else is wrong

im happy but my mind is very confused at some things

i know its no good saying im bad at things but i try and try again to see my self fails and i do not know what other ocnclusion i could come to with the results i get

if i seemed to make progress like not stopping after the first word or two i would think well its a process i just got to get past but something is holding me back

got any clue about what it is?
