I heard that there is an aboriginal tribe in Australia that communicates by reading each other minds. Is this even possible? Has anybody any information on reading minds?

Ye old NLP rapport exercises demonstrate some amazing things in this regard.

Try this exercise:

Sit 90+ degrees from another person. Decide who is going to be person A and who is going to be person B.

It is person A's job to pick some pleasant memory that easily comes to mind and stays in his or her mind. Person A is to sit there, close the eyes, and settle down, and keep thinking about that memory.

Person B's job is to maneuver his or her body as exactly like Person A's as possible. Sit the same, breathe the same, have the same posture, facial expressions, etc.

Then Person B is to not what comes into his or her mind. Whatever feelings occur within his or her body. Any sensory experiences, emotions, and thoughts come to mind are to be noted.

Then, have person A come back and compare person B's experiences to person A's. That is, see if what person B was experiencing was anything like what person A was remembering.

We did this at a seminar, and you would be amazed at the kinds of information you can pick up.

Yea, I've had similar experiences at NLP seminars. One was where two people stand face to face, then person A says "ok, now I'm thinking about the color blue" and person B calibrates. Then Person A goes through 2 or three colors, with B calibrating on each one. Then person A would think of one of the colors, then person B would determine the color based on their previous calibration. Most people had results far better than just random choice (i.e with 3 colors, you'd expect about a 33% success rate, just based on random chance.) The cool part was, when both person A and B had their eyes closed, people still were getting good results.

At another seminar, we learned to "extend our energy" and "taste/feel the energy of other people, and other crowds". Not just in the seminar room. We would go out, pick a person at random and try it. Its pretty wierd/cool reaching to "taste somebody's energy" across the room, and have them turn and look directly at you as you are doing so.
