Does analysis paralysis work?
Have you even tried describing a pencil or object with your eyes open like I suggested. Something that is in front of your nose?
Do you make it up? I had the impression you were a Buddist... surely you know it's all Maya? It's all made up by our minds.
We choose what we see, what we notice, what we hear and what we believe. You want to believe so badly that you can't yet your post show your skills to be otherwise.
You sure do manage a wordy description of your inability 
Prana, it's obvious to me you can do it. You just need to transfer the skills and not lean on the crutch of excuses. Something else that you are very good at
