Many years ago (like 25) I worked with a guy who noticed I smoked and he told me that he had quit smoking a few years before. Now he could do things that he only dreamed of before. His passion was hiking. He wanted to hike the entire Rocky Mountain Range. When he smoked he could barely walk 2 miles without loosing his breathe. At that point he was able to walk over 25 miles and was planning his dream hike. He ended off his story with "Quiting smoking was the smartest thing I ever did" I took this to heart and over the next two years I also quit and never looked back. He was right.
After thinking about that comment I began to pay attention to someone when they said "The smartest thing I ever did was...."
Some people it was marrying their childhood sweetheart or buying a house, many times something very simple but it was the smartest thing they ever did. Many times it wasn't something planned at all, it was just dumb luck because of the circumstances.
Does anyone have a story on the Smartest thing they ever did?
