Grant, we all have shadows...I know sometimes it is hard for me to embrace mine. But as the singer Bruce Cockburn brilliantly wrote, "another step deeper into darkness, is closer to the light"
If it weren't for self love and self care, you would not even be in this forum, or doing the work you are doing for yourself. I hope that you can honor that, appreciate that...and recognize the courage it takes to do this work.
I do, and I am thankful for the people I meet along the way who are also engaged in this work.
Sure, there is probably lots more to do. I know that I am far from finished, too. But it is worth it, every bit of it.
