Flowerchild- Wow, man, your nickname realy brings me back. So does thinking of SIlva Mind Control<sigh> cool.

I got my first copy of the book in the seventies, and fell in love with the whole idea of psycho-cybernetics. Went on to read others, like Maltz, Bandler, Grinder, etc. Jose Silva was the beginning af a wonderful journey, one that continues!

I have not heard the audio courses, so I can not realy comment. The book is great- I bet I still have a tattered copy somewhere, I should dig it up.

This discussion is very interesting... But still I can't decide... I remember being immediately compelled to order one course LSC advertized, but this does not feel like that... Well Iguess it's a good excercise in decision making

Since I became an Ultramind ESP instructor last June I'm reluctant to say much because I am biased

However in 2002 I wrote a longer post Sedona v Silva. You should find it using the search function (Silva & AlexK)

To me Silva is to the intellect what Sedona is to the emotions. If you want balance ultimately you'll wind up perusing both.

I originally learned the classic Silva Method and now teach the Ultramind course.

The difference. If you're not ready to explore the psychic side of your abilities the Classic Silva Method would be what I recommend you do.

If you have been exploring mediation, powers of the mind hypnosis and the like you're probably much more interested in the psychic side so the Ultramind course would serve you better.

Both courses are excellent for the basic training of entering Alpha in mere seconds. Has a handy carry over for entering the Accelerated Learning State. You can use it to pull in your focus (mentally I find) to takes that need your attention. Useful for studying, athletic training, communication and getting into contact with your intuition. Making more right guesses about things that are bothering people around you.

It combines well with Sedona.

Alex

Oxy, I'm a firm believer that one size doesn't, in fact, fit all. So I would look into it, and then go with your gut feeling. It worked, and works, for me--but as the cliche goes, your mileage may vary.

Well put, Alex. That is a great analogy. I had not thought of it that way, but it is realy very true for me.

Thanks for your insights Alex. You are an all-rounder.

I ordered the course a couple of days ago, should receive by the end of Feb. I'm sure it will definitely be helpful. Thanks to some of the LSC courses and Photoreading, I have no problem going to Alpha whenever I want. I'm definitely curious and want to learn more about our potentials.

I ordered the Steam book from Amazon. I ordered another Silva book, but something went wrong and I won't be getting it. I'll let you know how the book works out.

Something new to experience.

Jeanne, thanks for the advice.

I'll keep Silva in my mind... And maybe some time in the future my mind will tell me now is the right time for it. ;-)

Updates...
Well, I received the Silva UM ESP the same day of my post. I finished listening to all of the CDs and went through half of the exercises. I must say that I love the whole course. I have seen similar advertising before but somehow I didn't order. I'm very glad that this time I did order. I very highly recomment it. http://www.learningstrategies.com/silva/

Also, adding this with Feng Shui and SFQigong will definitely help to accomplish more and I believe faster. I look forward to knowing other people's experience.

The Steam book has arrived courtesy of a nice lady and Amazon.

So far so good, I'll report back on any progress.
