Hi everyone,
I have been aware of the existence of the photoreading techinque for 3years now but only recently practiced it for 6weeks.

Some part of me-75%- believes it works whilst the other 25% of me is just impatient. I am excited by the technology and have used some of it's powerful techniques like having a purpose (simple but powerful) and dipping for information to serve your purpose however I wanted to know if anyone can obtain full potential by using some of the techniques explained in the photoreading book.

I am taking a computer course-MCSE- at present and have to read copious amount of notes in short periods of time. I use the syllabus to define my purpose then dip for key information by circling relevant words and sentences. Whilst I found this has increased my comprehension and reading speed- I still 'feel' I can achieve a whole lot more.

I would be glad to hear from anyone about ideas and approaches they'd like to share.

My first response is that with a MCSE you can set the date for when you want to take the exams(within a given time frame) ease up on yourself.

The feeling of more.. I think it is that you realise that there is more that you need and want to know. I have begun to embrace this feeling and have begun asking my unconscious mind..OK where else should I go to firm up my understanding of this topic. This I have found very useful because a.the information becomes even more facile b. I am listen to my unconscious which enhances non manual activation. c. Everytime I concentrate on getting more info or a better understanding..will that not make me more professional in the real world and my job?
Carry on using the PR process untill, the feeling of more lessens, either until you don't have it or at a level that you can live with.

I have been using the topic headings to set my purpose. After the Super read I ask the question of what else I want to know and go back and super read for that info.

I started using it for mcse in June stopped because I didn't get instant results. Started again in Sept. because I want to know how to PR for mcse2k. I find the material more familiar when I super read. I think the pressure of trying to make it work for the exam doesn't help.

I am integrating it more in all my reading as well.

Just IIS4 to go and I am done.

I'm sure you all probably know this already, but just to make sure:

NT 4.0 exams will not be given after 12/31/00.

There will be no MCP certification either. The MCSE will consist of 7 exams all for windows 2000 only.

Thanks for your replies. They have been very useful. At the moment I am using PR to get my 3mcps(exams) before December. I have already used it to pass my 1st (net essentials).

I found at some point after skimming and dipping over and over again and reading different books on the same topic- I reach a high point where everything just clicks. I make an exponetial acquirement of knowledge and understanding.
