As far as intuition, there are several interesting books by Laura Day that are aimed specifically at making you more aware of your intuitive capabilities. You can also find them in recorded version at audible.com.

When taking tests, the recommendations are:
1. Photoread the entire test.
2. Begin answering questions. Answer all those for which you know the answer first. If you don't know the answer to a question, release it to your inner mind and move on.
3. When you've finished all the questions whose answers you know, go back and read the ones you don't know again (in essence, resubmitting them to your inner mind).
4. Pay attention for signals you might be getting from your inner mind.
5. Take the time to relax periodically throughout the test. If you're at all tense, you're getting in your own way.

Throughout college, I used this process (without step 1) and did very well. Good luck.
