April 28th 2000 I finished the PR course, till this moment, I have not (yet!) achieved the successes I hoped/longued for and read in this forum. I've practised, practised, pauzed, piles of books from the library, had fun(?), the dictionairy test didn't work... I've had some contact with Pete about this and I started reviewing every step. I think I know where the problem could be: stating my goal...
Normally, I buy/borrow a book because the title/cover appeals to me. Then I start reading: read and surprise something interesting, I think about it, adjust it the thought etc. and then read on. Although I read (very) slow (200 wpm), comprehension is most of the time above 85%.
Using the PR system:
previewing goes OK, PR itself goes OK (see the blip page), activating really sucks!
Preparing 1-2-3: I think this is also OK, tangarine... I guess OK (I even practised with a real one and anchored the feeling (NLP) on my knuckle!), stating your goal? Duh?
Can you help me out on this one? How specific does the goal have to be? When I normally read a book I want to know everything! Am I to greedy? :-) "What do I want from this book" is a question I can't anwer so easily...
