To follow up on my last posting regarding the usage of pr in the schools, I must ask: why the resistance? Is pr simply in a yet embryonic form and requires further development and testing before the mainstream school systems would allow large-scale usage? Has Learning Systems directed any of their marketing energies into this megalithic market? If so, obviously they incited only a mere trickle of response, or more probably, resistant backlash-- and I mean this without the slightest hint of sarcasm. Imagine classes of 10 year olds around the country equipping themselves with pr and other advanced learning methods! Of what material is the roadblock made and why the seemingly limp effort to overcome?

There are many reasons from budgets to resistence to the inability to make decisions.

While photoreading as a core ability is a relatively benign teaching tool, I beleive many parents would be quite against some of the "baggage" that is associated photoreading (whether or not it would be introduced WITH PR) such as channeling mind energy, Qi and SFQ.

For those who remember when prayer was still in public schools, you probably know by now that the parents of schoolchildren aren't very happy when teachers begin introducing elements of learning tinged with "religion", be it pagan or Christian.

Personally, I'm taking the PR course as is with a couple of the tapes because that is as far as I wish to go. (And there is a LONG way to go!)

I beleive the other "extra" elements, such as I mentioned before, probably work for some, but I don't think I will ever try them... actually, I probably never will. Figure THAT one out

If it could somehow be proven that all the kids were being taught nothing but PR, then you MIGHT get the parents to agree, but other than that... well...

Our corporate classes and classes in schools are very straightlaced and somewhat conservative (as much as they can). The stuff on this forum gets beyond what is required to get significant benefit from PhotoReading.

We pace the reality of the customer in front of us as we help them experience their potential.

I also wonder how well pr could be utilized with students diagnosed dyslexic or ADD.Atleast in theory-- and mind you, I'm not a cognitive researcher or even an educator--it would seem that the "batch processing" and the rapid cognition would efficiently serve such children. I read a book, The Gift of Dyslexia,which claimed that dyslexics naturally process information several hundred times faster than non-dyslexics. Aside from the narrow defeatist mainstream school programs which often serve only to compound the problem of the dyslexic, their great challenge stems from their mega-detailed means in forming a gestalt, in recognizing a word.This double-edged sword also may account for the large number of outstanding inventors, engineers,and mathematicians who bear the label dyslexic.
