But here's a question: any tips on how to improve my writing skills? I find that I am often stuck for words, or that it takes far longer than hoped. Generally, I write essays for university and feel that I am taking too much time. Kenneth, I know the feeling all too well! It always comes when I am uninterested in the topic of the paper--which is almost always. You may want to try this: Ask, "What are my passions?", then "How can I link this boring paper topic to my passions?" I've managed to relate EVERY history paper that I have written this semester (somehow) to my interests in eastern philosophy and altered states of consciousness. Amazingly, this reduces the drudgery to almost nothing!
Also, on the more divergent side, I'm developing a new system for writing papers 'on automatic'--another one of my crazy ideas, which I will publish here after I have tested and finessed it some more.
