I've been photoreading anywhere from 3 to 20 books a day. Every few days I'll sit down with one of the books I've previously PRed and spend the time necessary to activate it. This time will vary from about 1 to 3 hours.

For the most part, I never felt consciously aware of anything I'd PRed, but felt very comfortable with the material after a couple of hours of activation with the book.

One day, I picked up a book I had PRed several weeks prior. The book was a manual on novel writing. This particular book was very different from other manuals I'd read in that it was very structured. It suggested that you plan out every chapter and every scene for the whole novel in a very precise way before typing any of the actual novel.

As I activated the book, I realized that the book had already been activated! I have a novel journal that I write in. I found that I had planned out every scene just like the book suggested. Every scene was broken up into all basic components: theme, main characters, dialogue, perspective, setting, motivation, etc. When I started writing in my journal that week, I thought I was the one with the great idea! The fact is that I unknowingly got the information from the novel manual I'd PRed weeks before.

This was a big moment for me. I proved to myself that the PRing step is crucial.
