there already is a study in puerto rico (i think) on photoreading, whose web page i found some five months ago. i dont remember the page (sorry), but im sure its still on the web.
using eeg they scanned several photoreaders to find that their brainwaves were a mix of alpha and low beta (not like the state mentioned in anna wise's book which is all four states) while photoreading.
however since we are really in quest for the ideal pring state ,the kind in which spontaneous activation might take place, human inadequacy is quite possible in the results. When i was personally experimenting with bwgen pring with theta made me a bit sleepy during the act (especially below 5hz frequency) ,alpha left me with a headache afterwards. i was'nt a beginner when experimenting and it did affect my PRing for the worse.
i dont recommend using anything 'cause not only wont you find out your ideal relaxed state but it also tends to distract you if you logically think about it. i get great results PRing in moderately bright light and in very silent conditions,i.e night time.
But experiment away if you believe anything might help.
