First of all thank you all. I think if it wouldn't be for this DB I'd given up already. PR success so far is rather "subtle".
For the last three weeks I was PRing 3 books 4 evening a week. (Fulltime work + daughter and the rest of it, so the earliest I can start is by 9.30 pm, if I allow myself 30 min bliss of simply being in my "comfort zone"), leaves me only an hour at the most, because there is meditation and workout, too.
I bought the course almost 2 years ago, no immediate success, left it, came back - you know the story...
The subtle success?: After PRing a novel, when reading in a normal fashion scenes would come alive, more like pictures instead of sentences in a row. Only once, though and the book was in my native tongue. Living abroad gives me only limited access to my native books - so
Next step: "If I want it to work in English as well, let's do something about it, shall we?"
--> Dictionary game: about 90% I get the page right, but not the position. And from what I see there is no systematic error in placing the words wrong. I tried placing them by visualizing, moving them around but I'm lacking the feel for it. I guess I'd like to have the feeling as if you insert a piece of a puzzle or a lego and it fits.
I'd like to play the dictionary game more succesfully. A babystep if you will, mostly to give me more reliable data and confidence, because what I have is rather - well, subtle.
Please, give me your experience with the dictionary game.
By the way I also recruited the Thinkfast for this project, especially game 6, working memory. I noticed, that the more patterns there are on the flash screen, the more my unconscious mind steers my fingers and I get several right answers. Imagine having a question set before you and your fingers are already pushing the right button, before you even read the problem! But sure enough, at this point my conscious mind plays general and brings the whole train to a screeching halt: What did you just do, who did this, how did you do this, this can't be and there we are: sad train in the dessert.
Summary: To all who are succesful with the dictionary game: How do you know the words are there, do you see it in your mind, do you hear someone saying the number of the page (I have no success whatsoever with the page number).
Any suggestions on how to improve the conditions for the game (for instance: what should be the purpose stated before the PRing (I PR every time before starting to try to find words), recommendations for simple excercises (especially not time-consuming!!!) to improve recall?
I'm all ears and eyes for your suggestions!
Happyday
