Hi,
I got the Photoreading book a long time ago, but just was only just recently inspired to order the home study course by reading the posts in this forum. I just finished the 5th tape, where you activate the second book, and I'm still not sure if I get PhotoFocus completely. I can't tell if I'm actually achieving PhotoFocus or if I'm just defocusing my eyes. I'm getting a blip page, but I think I may just be cheating. How can I know?
I'm extremely excited about becoming a proficient photoreader and I think I've been only a silent observer for too long...

Thanks,
Jeff

Jeffc,

The blip is one way to know that you're eyes are in the Photofocus state.

I notice when I PR that I pick up other clue's such as seeing all four corners of books, seeing double characters, double pictures ... but most importantly, I notice how relaxed my body and how relaxed my eyes are when soft gazing.

In time, this will all become second nature ... keep at it!!!

A key to the self-study course is to move through the course from tape to tape, exercise to exercise, to the end. Do not worry about whether you are doing it right. Things generally come together. If not, come here to the Forum for coaching.

I am not getting uptight, but I still wonder what is preferable. I have no problem getting the blip page. But sometimes the print is in focus and sometimes the print is kind of blurred.

It depends on the room I am doing PR in and the type size.

Should I aim to have the soft focus?

Either notice the blip page or notice four corners of the book. As you master PhotoReading the type on the pages will be more clear.
