O.k whenever I'm PRing, the chanting I do just doesn't seem to relax me. It's more on my mind than relaxing. Anybody have anything that will help this??? Also can anyone give exampes of how the activate the materials? I'm having trouble figuring out what are some good question to ask the unconscious mind.
Thanks,
Superfly

Superfly,

Try humming, singing a song, preparing a letter to your senator, repeating affirmations to yourself, saying the alphabet backwards, doing multiplication tables, focusing on your breathing... You're just trying to distract your conscious mind so that your inner mind can do its job unobstructed.

Are you pre-viewing or post-viewing? In either case, look for things that intrigue you about the book. It could be a sub-heading, a graphic, a word. If you gathered trigger words, ask questions about the trigger words. If you're curious about the book, something sparked that curiousity. If you're not, maybe you don't need to activate the book.

They may not be stellar examples, but here are some probing questions I came up with for a book while trying out the 5-Day Plan:

1. How do I unlock the door to wealth?
2. What are "ideal scenes" and how do I create them?
3. What are "already there" reports and how do I use them?
4. What ARE the 8 minutes/day that will change my life?

These questions were generated while doing a quick preview of the book. They may not mean alot to you out of context, but they served as a great focus for me while I PhotoRead that book.

Superfly,

Mgrego2 suggestions are great!

The chanting you're referring too is to keep the conscious mind from interfering with the PR process.

If relaxation is what you're after, try the 3-2-1 method. There was another method I had posted and that had given me success that was posted on this DB regarding relaxation. Other's have also contributed. Do a search on "relax(ation)" ... some great article should present themselves to help you out.

As for questions to ask yourself ... remember that probing is one method of activation ... if you do not know what to ask, try using another activation method. Many times I do not know what to ask because it is comprehension that I'm after ... I'll super read /dip and rapid read. Play with the system to see what meets your needs.

Good luck and have fun!

Superfly,
I think you have already received super input from mgrego2 & Michael.

The only thing i could add would be to listen to very relaxing music. I like Quietude & Singing Bowls for keeping me relaxed during PhRing & study. Any relaxing music you personally like will do.
