Hello...
Well, from what I know, when water volume in our bodies is low, our blood volume goes down (blood is mostly water). As this happens, then your blood pressure goes down. The osmoreceptors and baroreceptors (located in the carotid arteries and in the aorta) sense this, and then give the information to our brain. Then you get thirsty!...
