For me, the fears were:
- Fear of failure (I spent a fair amount of money for this course, what if it doesn't work?)
- Fear of missing something (I'm not reading every word. What if I miss something really important?)
To invalidate the first, keep practicing. Keep PRing several books a day. As your experience develops, so will your confidence in the system, even if you're not doing every step.
To invalidate the second, pick some shorter things to PR (short books, long articles,...). Use the whole PR process on them and note what you get. Then, regular read the whole thing and notice whether or not you really missed anything of value when you used the PR system. You'll definitely have missed anecdotes, rationales, things like that. But did you really miss anything that you really needed?
