Well, it was a long story at the time of the posting. I didn't have the time at the time to get into it. Hit and run. Not much of a story, really.

Well I said that there is some validity to it, I mean that there is something there, but I don't know what it is. There is some truth in there, but I don't know what or where it is.

There have been times in the past when I've just gotten done shaving. Then I would just stare at myself in the mirror not wanting to start my day. I'm sure some of you folks get that feeling. Just plain blah after waking up. Every now and then, something in my reflection would twitch. I never thought twice about it and attributed it to not wanting to get moving. But that was the only time it would happen -- just staring into the mirror.

Ever see "Sightings" on Sci-Fi? I used to watch that show to help keep me grounded in reality. To me, watching that show was like reading one of the rags at check-out counters. Some truth, but hard to find it. Always interesting to see where people will take a grain to truth to.

Well, Sightings did a bit on this meditaion technique. The story was about contacting deceased relatives. They would set someone up in a room with a candle and a mirror. Eventually faces would appear in the mirror -- faces of the deceased. Interesting.

Then I got this document from a friend of mine. This guy has read over 5,000 books on yoga and meditation, and, due to the nature of our relationship, I knew he wouldn't steer me wrong. It put a new spin on the Sightings bit that I saw. Suddenly there was some truth and some placebo in the Sightings bit.

The question has become, Where is the truth in this phenomenon? Like ckerins said about various esoteric lodges and Wiccans. Something in common is going on.

Like I said, not really that much of a story.

Personally, I'm inclined to the meditation as I have presented with the common mystical uses as back-up evidence that something is there. But that's me.

There is, to some extent, a connection with PRing and meditation stuff. Perfect chance to share and hear what you folks have to say.

So far this has been a casual interrest. I just may have to start doing some real research. (Egads! Not real research! That entails hard work and stuff!)

Time for me to digress before I lose control of the urge to ramble about other related subjects. More good stuff, but for another day.
