Margaret, You seem to be a positive person, believe in the program, and are frustrated I don't share your view. Let me defend myself:
<<<<<<<Why do you enjoy trying to ruin someone's hope? What pleasure can you derive from this type of activity?>>>>>>>>>>

Should people have FAITH in everything without questioning it. There are many scams out, I do not want to have FAITH in these type of things w/o any proof. I was only referring this person to a scientific study, a psycologist conclusion based on how our eyes work, and a skeptics look at Neuro-linguistic Programming, part of the background of the Developer of PRing. He may very well see what I have to show him and still order the product, and have hope. I only show him the other side of the argument.

<<<<<<<Why is it so easy to believe the negative side of something w/o any personal experience?>>>>>>>>>>
I have experience in the way that I read the book with an open mind, I have gotten a few things out of it. Personally I think the Photoreading step, where this program points to for the most benefits and astounding claims, does not work though. I have shown links to back my opinion up.I went on this discussion board because this is where the photoreaders and people who about to buy are. I wanted and still want proof in the way of studies, research, any empirical evidence the Photoreading step works, and I figured that photoreaders would have it since I cannot find it anywhere else. Or for the more Pragmatic people, just RESULTS from a controlled scientific study that it works. This does not include Testimonials or Anecdotes, especially about people who I won't have knowledge of other than their First Name. Since this program has been around in one way or another since the Mid 1980's I should think that there has been some controlled Scientific study that supports it precisely because of the claims of 25,000 words per minute that I am told was and can be achievable with this program, even if it takes practice. Even a controlled scientific study on this program that shows only 2,000 words per minute with significant comprehension would perk my interest.

<<<<<<I could never take someone's opinion & make a decision that would affect my personal life. I took the PhRing home study course & am very satisfied. So, you may not choose to believe me, but that will never take anything away from me.>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Yet I am supposed to believe other people opinions it works, like yours. It may very well be you have results with it but how do I know without a controlled scientific study which would have objective observers, tests of some sort, try to minimalize human emotion which can exaggerate results: self-delusion or self-deception, wishful thinking, and so on.

I know LS gives a money back guarantee, that is all well and fine. Almost all infomercials products these days seem to offer a money back guarantee, they probaly have to to get any substantial number of takers. That is not the point, someone who spends years trying to "get" this program would have wasted a lot of unrefundable time if this program does not work. I conccde that the program would be well worth it if it works, but I am willing to wait until I see scientific proof.

Proof does not have to consist of Logic (induction) or theories either. For me it could consist of a independent scientific study of experienced photoreaders reading books (preferable unpublished in the US or very uncommon) in a controlled setting and take a test about it the next day if that is what it takes. Their time on the book and comprehension (detailed test, not one which can be passed with only knowing the outline of the book). It could be constructed in a way that believers and nonbelievers in the system will have minimal objection to the result. There also could be a control group taken with the same book but read in the old fashion way. Just a thought.
