I know you know what paranormal means. Your sentence was not worded in a confusing manner.
I only used *deadbeat* b/c that's what he has in his profile.
Since noone has as yet come to agree on what normal is, then it's all pointless. Archetypal understanding is another matter. Do you know that it's not normal to say *please & thank you* in India? They have other gestures that indicate please & thank you. But, dealing w/ activated archetypes is different.
NLP seems to have some roots in Jungian archetypal philosophy.
No question about it: LS wants to produce a worthwhile product & at the same time a *catchy* product. They do want to make $$$. From Pete's post on Master Chunyi Lin's book, it seems clear that they are very interested in $$$. No harm in that; we are a capitalistic country.
If using NLP techniques & working w/ the right side of the brain is paranormal, then LS is using paranormal stuff. It just doesn't seem very supernatural to me; it just seems *normal* whole brain orientation.
