I've recently got my photoreading learning course and I'm very excited about getting to learn how to photoread.
I have a question about how to find trigger words. I do as the tape says, but to me, it's like any word can be a trigger word. So I end up with few or too many trigger words. Can anyone tell me how to go about pulling trigger words.

That's an easy one! Follow Paul's suggestion to (1) page through the text about 20 pages at a time and pick whatever jumps out, and (2) scan the index for words that have multiple references. I'd also suggest looking at the TOC and scanning headings for trigger words.

Relax, because there's no right answer here. Trigger words will help you latch onto ideas as you work through the text. Whatever you decide on personally is fine.

I'd also recommend that you follow Paul's suggestion to start with nonfiction materials because you'll find the structure (TOC, index, headings, subheadings, bolds, and so on) that will make this task easier.

My process is to:

1. Check the table of contents for potential candidates.
2. Check for headings and sub-headings.
3. Frequent the index for heavily referenced words.

Don't let this step get you stressed. The trigger words serve as cues and as curiosity prompters. Although it's best to get them in the beginning, if you don't find much, consider looking for triggers words sometime after PRing. Then your mind will be in a good position to help you out.
