Another idea:
Can anyone turn STARS into a coputerized version? In this way you could a database of memorised content, perhaps adding notes.
You could also change the silent time without much worry - just enter another amount of seconds.
And you could just take the not memorised content into the next round without having to record it again.
Or you could change from word/definition to definition/word with a single click.
You could also add a randomising function for later rehearsals.
Adding music or binaural beats would be another idea (I'm a bit uncomfortable with binaural beats - I really never experienced a change of state with that. But that's another issue.)
And on, and on - lots of ideas with that procedure.
Anyone willing to try this? Anyone who already did this? Suggestions to which available software could be turned into a STARS machine?
